Special Election to Fill MTG's Now Vacant Seat
Unless you have been unplugged from all media over the past month and a half, you know that Marjorie Taylor Green announced her resignation from Congress on November 21, 2025, which became effective on January 5, 2026. With the seat now vacant, a special election is being held to fill it. Over a dozen contenders have thrown their name in the hat for this race, and more are likely to add their names to the ballot before the January 14th qualifying deadline. Below is informat

Cohutta Christmas Parade 2025
It was an event for the books in more ways than one! We have heard that it was the biggest one yet. Kids and kids at heart all lined up in their red and green to watch or participate ahead of this year's parade along Wolfe Street and beyond. Earlier in the day, shoppers enjoyed the fares and wares at the Cohutta Christmas Market, an event sponsored by local downtown businesses. Lots of shoppers were able to get a jumpstart on their list and kids were able to visit Santa.

Decorate the Town
The town gathered on Saturday, November 15th for the annual Decorate the Town for Christmas. Everyone enjoyed some breakfast, homemade apple cider, and fellowship as we strung the lights and decked the halls! Stop by and check it out!

Cohutta Song Fest
Last weekend the air was filled with music here in Cohutta, GA! Over forty singer-songwriters from around the country gathered together in historic downtown for a fun and inspiration filled weekend of songwriting workshops and performances. The Town of Cohutta would like to thank Tom for putting together this annual event. Cohutta Street Dance
"I'm so glad the Street Dance is back!" That was the recurring sentiment on September 20th as people paid $5 to enter the Street Dance. Cohutta Elementary school kids were excited to hand in the free ticket they received at school, too! This often accompanied a memory (or two) of coming to the Street Dance years gone by with a grandparent.
