Building Inspection

The Town of Cohutta does their own zoning and building permits. The square footage requirements and other pertinent information are contained in Chapter 5 – Cohutta and Planning Use Ordinance linked below.

Please print, complete, and return the appropriate application to the town clerk at Town Hall.  After the permit is approved, the Town provides a copy to the Building Inspector.  Please note that building permits will not be issued without a septic permit issued by Whitfield County Environmental Health or an approval letter for sewer from Dalton Utilities Wastewater Division if sewer is available at your property.
