Unless you have been unplugged from all media over the past month and a half, you know that Marjorie Taylor Green announced her resignation from Congress on November 21, 2025, which became effective on January 5, 2026. With the seat now vacant, a special election is being held to fill it. Over a dozen contenders have thrown their name in the hat for this race, and more are likely to add their names to the ballot before the January 14th qualifying deadline. Below is information from the Whitfield County website on voting days, times, and locations. A link to the Whitfield County page dedicated to this special election can be found here. Unless one candidate receives at least 50% of the votes, a run-off will take place on April 7th. It's imperative that everyone get out and VOTE! We will update with a list of candidates when the qualifying period has ended.
